Pieris japonica ‘Cavatine’C2,5l

Pieris japonica ‘Cavatine’ is an exceptionally ornamental, compact evergreen shrub that delights with abundant flowering and elegant, glossy foliage throughout the year. It is one of the most popular Pieris varieties for small gardens, heath gardens, flower beds, and container planting on patios and balconies.

In spring, usually from April to May, it becomes covered with numerous snow-white, lily-of-the-valley-like flowers. The blossoms are arranged in attractive, pendulous clusters that contrast beautifully with the dark green, glossy leaves. Thanks to its compact habit and small size, it is perfect even for limited garden spaces.

What does Pieris japonica ‘Cavatine’ look like?

This variety forms a dense, rounded shrub reaching approximately 50–80 cm in height and a similar width. Its evergreen leaves remain decorative all year round, making it attractive even in winter. During flowering, the entire shrub is covered with elegant white flower clusters.

Growing position

Pieris grows best in:

• partial shade,
• sheltered locations protected from strong, cold winds,
• sunny sites, provided the soil remains consistently moist.

Winter hardiness

This variety is well adapted to the Polish climate and offers excellent winter hardiness. Young plants should be protected during severe frosts, especially when grown in containers.
